Taking inspiration from a misty morning on the rocky BC coastline, SUMU is a high-end retail establishment which borrows the Finnish word for “mist”. This mood is empasized through the use of rough texture and a neutral tone of materials. A frameless glass display mounted on a natural rock formation works as a centerpiece, and the curvilinear line of a wood slat wall creates a unified organic shape that hugs the space.
Accessories display shelves are located nearby the casher and lounge area, so guests can sit and try items and get help from the casher easily. The display itself functions as a fitting room as well.
